Jochem Meijer
Has been intrigued by sound, overtones and music and the effect that they can have on our state of consiousness. It is no surprise that when the Didgeridoo came on his path, that he immidiately felt a deep connection with both the simplicity and complexity of this instrument.
In the early 2010's the Dutchman from origine moved to Scandinavia, were he often played at local stages, it was on Ängsbacka that he started to join forces with Viktor Frih.
Years later, when Jochem moved to Stockholm, so he and Viktor got the chance to structure their co-creations and so the Snakecharmer Collective was born.
They work with worldmusic instruments, like Handpan, didgeridoo, bansuri, jewharp. Guitar and voice, supported by electronics, like loop stations their style they create can best be discribed as deep organic downtempo.
Besides gifted didgeridoo player Jochem also worked as Chef for many retreats and consious events, is a very routined astrologer and has deeply engrained background in non-duality.
